Juventus vs AC Milan - Competition: Coppa Italia
Date: Wednesday, January 25 2017
Kick-off Time: 19:45 GMT - 8:45 PM
Venue: Juventus Stadium, Turin, Italy

Juventus team have returned to the winning ways beating Lazio (2-0 on Sunday) after a disappointing away day at Fiorentina and a 2-1 loss seven days before. The Bianconeri have been absolutely phenomenal at their own turf as they have an amazing streak of 27 consecutive home win in Italian Serie A. The Old Lady only hold a one-point advantage over Roma in the league - although they have one game in hand - and they arrive mat this stage of TIM Cup 2016-17 after a 3-2 home win with Atalanta.
Gonzalo Higuain could be rested for this clash, meaning that Mario Mandzukic could join Paulo Dybala up front since Marko Pjaca is not 100% fit. Hernanes is likely to feature from the off, with Miralem Pjanic making room in the number 10 role. New signing Tomas Rincon will probably join the Brazilian in the middle of the park while Daniele Rugani should form the three-man backline with Giorgio Chiellini and Leaonardo Bonucci. Centre-back Benatia will not feature due to him being away on the AFCON with Morocco while Dani Alves is still out through injury.
AC Milan team enter this match on the back of a 1-2 home defeat at the hands of Napoli last Saturday. The Rossoneri currently sit 7th in the league standings and trail Juventus by 11 point, with both teams having one game in hand. Vincenzo Montella's men came out on top on penalties when they met Juve in Doha last month, as they battled it out for the Supercoppa Italiana. Furthermore, the Rossoneri won their last Italian Serie A clash at San Siro back in October while last year's Coppa Italia final (won by Juv) went to extra time.
New signing Gerard Delofeu - on loan from Everton - is expected to make the bench. Talented midfielder Manuel Locatelli returns from suspension and he is expected to start alongside Mario Pasalic and Giacomo Bonaventura. Gianluca Lapadula and Carlos Bacca are in contention to spearhead the attack, with the former slightly favourite over the Colombian striker. Mbaye Niang is likely to leave the club before the transfer market deadline and will not feature. Riccardo Montolivo remain sidelined due to a cruciate ligament injury..

Probable lineups:
Juventus: Neto – Alves, Barzagli, Rugani, Alex Sandro – Sturaro, Rincon, Marchisio – Hernanes – Mandzukic, Dybala.
AC Milan: Donnarumma – Calabria, Romagnoli, Gomez, Antonelli – Bertolacci, Locatelli, Bonaventura – Suso, Lapadula, Niang.

Southampton vs Liverpool - Competition: English League Cup

Southampton team go into this match in pretty miserable form having lost their last three EPL matches – two of which were at St. Mary's. They currently sit in 10th place, a hefty 15 points below Man United who are in sixth spot. The Saints have progressed to this stage of the EFL Cup without conceding a single goal. They have beaten Crystal Palace (2-0), Sunderland (1-0) and Arsenal (2-0 at the Emirates).
Matt Targett and Charlie Austin are both injured while Sofiane Boufal has withdrawn from the Morocco squad for the Africa Cup of Nations and is expected to miss three weeks with a knee injury. Jose Fonte isn't currently being considered for selection after handing in a transfer request but Cedric Soares and Cuco Martina are back in contention. Up front, Jay Rodriguez could be rested, meaning that Shane Long will start as central striker with Nathan Redmond and Dusan Tadic on his flanks.
Liverpool team enter this clash on the back of a disappointing goalless draw in English FA Cup against League 2 side Plymouth at Anfield on Sunday, in which Jurgen Klopp fielded the youngest ever starting line up. As to the English Premier League, they currently find themselves sat in second place, five points behind the leaders Chelsea and two ahead of Tottenham in third. The Reds have won three of their last five matches at St. Mary’s and have scored 13 goals in the process. Anyway, they were held to a goalless draw when they visited the South coast back in November. In this competition they have defeated Burton Albion (5-0), Derby County (3-0), Tottenham (2-1) and Leeds (2-0).
Philippe Coutinho is expected to make his first appearance since November while Mane is away at the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal. James Milner is also set to be available again and Loris Karius is "pretty likely" to start in goal. Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi are in contention for a starting berth as central forward, while Adam Lallana and Roberto Firmino look sure to play out wide.
